financial support for disable students
Thinking about Higher Education but have a disability and no way of knowing how much support is available?

Don’t worry! Help is available and this section sets out the extra funding that is accessible to support students with disabilities that can include:

- Wheelchair or mobility difficulties
- Blind or partially sighted impairment
- Deaf or hard of hearing impairment
- Specific Learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia)
- Mental Health difficulties
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Aspergers Syndrome
- Unseen disabilities (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, ME)

If you plan to study a Higher Education course (for example a BSc, BA, BEng, DipHE HND, HNC) and regard yourself as disabled you may be entitled to Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA).
